Very capable crawler especially being 1/18 RTR

There is only one word that comes to mind when talking about the Ascent 18 and that is Capable! This thing out of the box makes most trail obstacles seem like an elementary school word search, a preschool puzzle waiting to be solved by a scientist. You can just charge the battery and tackle things built crawlers have to work at. The Ascent18 just does these things with ease. You have tons of room to upgrade and modify this platform and it gets to your house quickly. Plus Direct RC is always sending coupon codes once you sign up so you can save money on their awesome products. I will be a RedCat purest from now on after this purchase.

Was impressed right outta the box. Added some injora upgrades it’s a nice little crawler. For the money it’s a sure thing to pick one up

Update... After about a week, the pink truck has had no issues. As for the red truck, my son has already broken the wing nut for the clipless body (Redcat is sending out a warranty replacement) and he keeps popping u-joints (which is probably driver error for the most part, but in the u-joints are cheap plastic). I replaced the driveshafts in both trucks with Meus Racing and haven't had any issues with u-joints since. Still very happy with the Ascent-18.

I got rhe red for my son, one in pink for my daughter, and now I kinda wish I'd gotten one for me instead of the TRX4M. The Redcat Ascent 18 is a great little crawler. You get a 4 channel transmitter (with multiple adjustments), bearings all around, portal axles, and far less torque twist than the Traxxas for less money. It's been tough enough for kid use/abuse. I broke a mirror off of my TRX4M F-150 10 minutes after opening it... on carpet.
Direct RC processed my order quickly and it arrived on time. I would definitely recommend Direct RC and the Ascent 18.
